La corrupción es el estado natural del sistema policial francés. El oficial René (Philippe Noiret) es un claro ejemplo: acepta sobornos de cualquiera, traiciona a sus compañeros con soplos y prácticamente todo lo que hace es reprochable, menos para él que es sin duda el héroe de la película. Ahora René tiene un nuevo compañero, François (Therry Lhermitte), acabado de salir de la academia, por lo que René tendrá que reeducarle. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)

Francouzská klasika, a která jsem konečně dostal a jako u všech komedií nebo krimikomedií od Clauda Zidiho, byl jsem nesmírně potěšen a pobaven. Philippe Noiret vyniká, roli Reného je pro něj jako stvořená. A celou dobu jsem si říkal, ten jeho rajon musí být někde poblíž Barbes-Rochechouart a skutečně tomu tak bylo. Těším se na další pokračování, která si pustím velmi brzy.

It's not the kind of comedy that would make the viewer roll on the floor laughing, but when I look back now and replay the story in my head, I'm in a better mood and with a smile on my face. An excellent film about two cops who prefer to put the law in someone else's hands, with a superb performance by Noiret, an atmosphere of "street thieves" and ironic humour, the magic of which will probably hit harder after further screenings. The effective detective storyline and the emotional ending also deserve praise, they got deep under my skin in a completely unobtrusive way. It’s a pity that the French haven’t followed up with this kind of humour in the new century. 85%
