Sinopsis(1)
En los decadentes suburbios de Detroit, Billy (Christina Hendricks) lucha por sacar adelante a sus dos hijos y no perder su casa. Cuando su tiempo se agota, Billy, acompañada de Cat (Eva Mendes), decide aceptar un nuevo trabajo que le ofrece Dave (Ben Mendelsohn) en un misterioso y extraño lugar en el que nada es lo que parece. Al mismo tiempo, su hijo Bones (Iain de Caestecker) intenta sobrevivir, con la ayuda de Rat (Saoirse Ronan), al acoso del violento y peligroso Bully (Matt Smith). Huh? Ryan Gosling took a momentary break from acting to delve into directing and writing, creating something reminiscent of his directorial peers, whom he had previously acted for. However, in reality, it's more akin to the works of Herschell Gordon Lewis (whom I quite like), except Gosling painstakingly tries to imbue it with a depth that he himself doesn't quite find. I like Ryan as an actor, but after his debut, his eventual next films won't be something I'll seek out.
