Les Equilibristes

Giulio (Valerio Mastandrea) is a wonderful father of two kids. He had been a good husband until he cheated on his wife, Elena (Barbora Bobulova). While she tries to forgive him, she can’t, and Giulio decides to leave the family. However, he wants to keep supporting them financially so that his departure doesn't damage the children. This task isn't easy with his public servant's salary and Giulio thus sinks further and further into poverty and desperation. This simple, intimate story of a man who tries to keep his moral standards even through a life crisis is written and performed with great precision. Valerio Mastandrea won the David di Donatello for Best Actor. (Febiofest)
