Sinopsis(1)

This second-year film from the Department of Documentary Film presents the collection of folk art, ceramics, and religious sculptures left behind by the death of collector Antonín Kouba. With the dynamic camerawork of Ján Piroh and sensitive narration by Jiří Adamíra, the film – shot in the town of Blatná in the Czech-Moravian Highlands – uses staged elements while emphasizing Kouba’s sensitivity and the way he preserved objects that had inspired painters such as Karel Svolinský, Vlastimil Rada, and Jan Zrzavý.
