En los años 90, cuando la legendaria cantante Nina Simone pasaba por su momento más vulnerable en un hospital, alejada de los escenarios, conoce a Clifton Henderson; un enfermero que le brinda todo su apoyo y amistad. Al salir del hospital, Clifton no puede soportar separarse de ella y se convierte en su representante, siguiéndola hasta su casa de la Costa Azul francesa. I was surprised by the rather low rating of this film, but when you look at it, you get the feeling as if you were watching another biographical movie. It doesn't have anything that would make it truly interesting. Zoe Saldana tries her best, but it's all filmed so ordinarily, without emotions, that you don't even feel like learning anything more about Nina Simone.
