Reseña del usuario Necrotongue de esta serie (99)

La ciudad de la poca autoestima (2014) (S02E05)

inglés The episode wasn’t perfect, but compared to the previous two, it’s a clear winner. The competition in the lesbian trophy hunt was decent, but the charades in the visitor's room were the highlight for me. I also liked how, during the racial clashes, the white girls stood completely outside of all the events. An interesting change. ()

También tienes una pizza (2014) (S02E06)

inglés Despite not being much of a romantic, I really enjoyed Valentine's Day in the Litchfield correctional facility. It wasn’t boring at all; a lot of interesting stuff happened. I originally rated it four stars, but I decided to add a fifth for the final scene in the bar. Caputo’s expression said it all. ()

Comic Sans (2014) (S02E07)

inglés There was less humor compared to the previous episode, but the creators made up for it with a solid dramatic plot. I enjoyed how all the relationships in the prison became more intense; it really tempted me to watch the next episode. I just wish the whiny Larry would disappear from the story altogether. ()

Macetas del tamaño adecuado (2014) (S02E08)

inglés Just when I expected more action and tension, the plot unexpectedly calmed down. I get it though — there's no rush, there are thirteen episodes after all. Compared to other series, I have to appreciate that it wasn’t just boring filler. So, I’ll give it 3 stars. ()

Un trago de permiso (2014) (S02E09)

inglés The creators devoted the episode to a truly dramatic comeback and, thanks to Cal and Neri, an epic farewell. Despite the necessary presence of whiny Larry, I enjoyed the scenes with Piper. More importantly, the events in the prison started picking up again, so I was satisfied. 4*+ ()

Little Mustachioed Shit (2014) (S02E10)

inglés I originally wanted to give this episode four stars because I enjoyed the plot, the story had a decent pace, and the atmosphere wasn’t bad either. But the ending really let me down. Parading the arrested person through the prison with an audience in the stands? Oh... ()

Take a Break from Your Values (2014) (S02E11)

inglés A lot seemed to be happening in the episode, but nothing really important went down. The difference between the prison scenes and those from everyday life is huge for me. Honestly, I have zero interest in what’s happening outside, especially when it involves the whining Larry. A well-timed car accident might help, and I bet Pete would agree. ()

It Was the Change (2014) (S02E12)

inglés I enjoyed the episode a bit more than the previous one, but the plot did feel a little slow. It seems like the creators were saving their energy for a strong season finale. I wasn’t exactly bored, but it could have been much better. 3*+ ()

We Have Manners. We're Polite. (2014) (S02E13)

inglés The finale seemed to have gotten out of the creators' hands, basically stretching into the length of two regular episodes. But I wasn't bored at all; the plot was packed with events, and even the dialogue was relevant to the story. Caputo brought the humor, especially on his second day in the new position. His reactions to surprises totally reminded me of Wile E. Coyote. 5*- ()

Season 3 (2015) (S03)

inglés In Season 3, the series has lost some of its drive, which is a shame. On the other hand, I liked that Piper was no longer central to the story and there was room for the development of other characters. I especially like Joe Caputo whose life resembles a roller coaster. The series is still one that I really enjoy, and I look forward to the fourth season. ()

Mother's Day (2015) (S03E01)

inglés The third season didn’t kick off all that great. The opening episode was the first time I actually found myself bored. Not much happened — sure, a character made a predictable return, and the mothers had their party. But I didn’t have much to laugh about. A few scenes brought a fleeting smile, but that’s about it. ()

Bed Bugs and Beyond (2015) (S03E02)

inglés It wasn't worth a standing ovation, but there was some improvement. The bedbugs were a good idea, pushing the plot into a bit of enjoyable absurdity. There was some humor, but the drama is falling flat this time around. I might have to reconsider my opinion of the main antagonist from last season. ()

Empathy Is a Boner Killer (2015) (S03E03)

inglés Joe Caputo and his clever plan at least partially saved this episode for me. Otherwise, it wasn't all that amazing. I don't get why the first half of each season is so painfully slow. On the bright side, I didn't have to endure Larry whining for the third time, but I did miss my favorite character. Natasha Lyonne's voice and accent always manage to soothe my frazzled nerves. ()

Finger in the Dyke (2015) (S03E04)

inglés The third season isn't off to a great start. This was the second episode that left me pretty bored because, once again, nothing really happened. Sure, there were a bunch of "interesting" conversations, but I didn't feel any humor or drama. It was just kind of... dull. ()

Fake It Till You Fake It Some More (2015) (S03E05)

inglés I didn't expect much in the way of quality drama this time, but at least there was some humor to keep things interesting. I got a good laugh from the attempts to prevent the squirrels from getting drunk, Red's effort to get back to her old workplace, and Alex's paranoid moods. ()

Ching Chong Chang (2015) (S03E06)

inglés Well, I didn't see any improvement in the second half of the season. If it weren't for Mei Chang's storyline, I don't think I'd rate this above two stars. The plot of this season feels really sluggish, the humor is sporadic, and the dramatic storyline is almost non-existent. ()

Tongue-Tied (2015) (S03E07)

inglés Finally, an episode that kept boredom at bay. The creators might have skimped on the drama, but they made up for it with a hefty dose of humor. I loved the new business venture and Suzanne's literary debut. But, as always, it was Joe Caputo and his new "recruits" who had me laughing the most. ()

Fear, and Other Smells (2015) (S03E08)

inglés The eighth episode carried on much like the previous one, but with a bit less humor. It's a shame because some parts of the plot were a bit dull, overshadowing the more successful elements like the MCC management meeting, Tiffany's outings with Coates, and Suzanne's literary success. 3*+ ()

Where My Dreidel At (2015) (S03E09)

inglés It feels like the third season peaked at episode seven, and now the quality is slipping with each new episode. I really hope I'm wrong and things pick up again, but this episode was pretty uneventful. The story could use a bit of a jolt. ()

A Tittin' and a Hairin' (2015) (S03E10)

inglés I decided to bump up my rating by half a star because this episode showed some promise. The creators managed to sprinkle in a bit more humor, but what really caught my eye were a few moments hinting at some solid drama down the line. 3*+ ()
