This was my first Spanish-speaking film telling a story from Chile. And it must be added that it was not bad at all. I found the nature of that nation very similar to the Czech one. Everyone sits in their pubs and empty beer bottles are littered everywhere, while people keep chatting about historical events and also about the fact that there is a little genius in the neighboring village. Those empty beer bottles weren’t lying only around the pub, but also just about everywhere else – in people’s houses, on the streets. At some moments, it was just too much for me and I had to open a beer myself. It was nice, and the short running time definitely helped in that respect. But the setting was also to the film’s advantage. ()
