inglés Another hysterical comedy with Les Charlots and Michel Galabru. Even after years of seeing some of their films on TV, the current DVD re-release provides the same experience. It's crazy, very much so. It was only today that I first noticed the social motif that justified the film being shown in Czech movie theaters before 1989. ()

inglés A beautiful example of the crazy French comedy that reached its peak in the 70s and 80s. Four likeable young men screw up everything they touch, but still try to save the fading business of "Gendarme" Galabru and rob a rival emporium using extremely interesting methods. The story may be simple and unrealistic given the behaviour of the characters, but it delivers a lot of great fun and unique scenes that will keep their great charm forever. I don't know about you, but for me, I think the final auction and the introduction of the tenants to their new home are the best. :-) ()

inglés The four madmen of Les Charlots are at the forefront of the struggle for the survival of a small shop that is facing stiff competition from a large supermarket. Entertaining and in many places relevant today. When I occasionally walk among the shelves of the nearby big supermarket, I sometimes remember the sabotage antics of Les Charlots. All you need is a toy catapult, a cake with whipped cream and the show can begin. ()
