Early nineties, in Tbilisi, the capital of the newly independent Georgia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The country is immersed in violence there's a war on the Black Sea coast in Abkhazia, and vigilante justice plagues society. But for Eka and Natia, fourteen-year-old inseparable friends, life just unfolds: in the street, at school, with friends or elder sisters who are already dealing with menís dominance, early marriage and disillusioned love. For these two girls in bloom life just goes on... Very realistic and very social movie. The time after the fall of the Soviet Union was difficult not only for the Czechs, but also for the Georgians, who in the meantime still managed to fight each other. Which actually lasts to this day. Anyway, for me, this movie was way too social and hard to digest. On the other hand, the camera was flawless. For example, when it was capturing a quarter of an hour long dance, I was bating my breath.
