A beautifully horror fairy tale that is wonderful primarily because of the animation. Puppet animation has something beautiful, romantic, nostalgic in it, thanks to which I really enjoy watching these films immensely. Jiří Trnka had a sense for a somewhat horror atmosphere, which in this case clearly proved to be significant.
