This spectacular series, celebrating the stark beauty of one of Europe's most dynamic and productive wetlands, was the first ever feature documentary to earn the title of Best Dutch film at the Rembrandt Awards (the 'Dutch Oscars') . It reveals the unique beauty of the Oostvaardersplassen, a unique experiment in letting nature run its course, situated just 20 miles north-east of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. In just 40 years, the area has become home to some of Europe's rarest birds including the magnificent white tailed eagle, that hasn't been seen in the area since the Middle Ages.
