Landes

Landes, a region in southwestern France, is the scene of a brilliant story about the determination and commitment of a woman who is able to stand up to the odds and the contemporary conventions of the 1920s. When Liena, suddenly widowed, inherits her husband's vast properties, she decides to go ahead with his dream – to bring electricity to the region. Surprisingly, she faces resistance from the local farmers, families and her companions. A power struggle begins. Will she manage to achieve her goal?
