Sinopsis(1)

At the wee hours, a group of women start their six hour journey to work across the border. The trip is not an easy one as it is illegal. The documentary film White Night follows Palestinian women travelling daily to work from the refugee camps to the Jerusalem suburbs – without work permit. Nightly border crossings have become episodes of everyday life for the protagonists. Director Irit Gal closely documents the journey across hills and under fences while conveying their fear towards the army troops guarding the border. The atmosphere varies from suspenseful to cheerful. The film offers a new approach to the border conflict by showing it from the perspective of workers living next to the wall.
