Reseña del usuario Necrotongue de esta serie (52)

Il Principe e il Nano (2016) (S02E07)

inglés I thoroughly enjoyed this episode from start to finish. The atmosphere was spot-on, but what really stood out was the gripping plot that kept me engaged throughout. It was filled with intrigue and manipulation, reminiscent of the political machinations in the Vatican during the election of a Pope. Everything felt incredibly believable. ()

Divide et impera (2016) (S02E08)

inglés While this episode wasn't as intense as the previous one, overall, I still had a blast watching it. ()

Sette anni (2016) (S02E09)

inglés What surprised me was the sheer quality of the plot, especially considering it revolved around a subplot about infidelity. This series truly stands out for its exceptional scripts, delivering not only a compelling plot but also a genuine, authentic feel. Unlike many other shows, I had no trouble believing the narrative – a testament to the skill of the creators. ()

Fantasmi (2016) (S02E10)

inglés The episode delivered yet another atmospheric gem, keeping me on the edge of my seat with a plot so riveting, that I dared not even blink, lest I miss a crucial moment. Once more, it was a rollercoaster of twists and turns, with the main storyline brimming with intrigue and cunning – precisely what I want from a series about organized crime. ()

Nella gioia e nel dolore (2016) (S02E11)

inglés Gennaro's wedding day might have slowed down the pace, but the parallel plotline more than compensated for it. It infused a sense of paranoia and took care of certain characters for good. It's baffling how this series eluded me for so long, but now that I've found it, I'm hooked. 5*- ()

La fine del giorno (2016) (S02E12)

inglés Once again, the creators proved their mastery, steering the finale with a firm hand and keeping it on track. The atmosphere remained top-notch, the writing showcased its prowess, orchestrating events seamlessly, and before I knew it, the almost hour had flown by. ()

Season 3 (2017) (S03)

inglés As with the previous two seasons, I'm giving five stars again. Even after thirty-six episodes, I haven’t found a single character in the series that I could relate to, for which I’m glad. The creators are not trying to portray anyone in a positive light, but rather present a dismal reality and I have to give them credit for that. ()

Viva il Re! (2017) (S03E01)

inglés The start of the third season wasn't half bad. My only gripe was how the action in Rome seemed to slow things down a bit, and the constant hopping between Naples and Rome made the storyline feel a tad diluted. Apart from that, I was thoroughly entertained as the plot kept moving forward. ()

Hasta la muerte (2017) (S03E02)

inglés I knocked off a star for the second episode, but I suspect the issue might be with me rather than the creators. I found myself more engrossed in the grim atmosphere of Naples; Rome doesn't quite do it for me. Here's hoping the creators steer back to Naples soon... ()

Inferno (2017) (S03E03)

inglés In my last review, I complained about Rome, and now I find myself in Bulgaria... The episode left me wanting. Ciro's actions didn't quite sit right with me. I'm just not buying it, I still remember Deborah and Manu. ()

Il filo e la Moira (2017) (S03E04)

inglés This was the Gomorrah I love. Rome finally clicked for me, but what really got me excited was that despite the change of scenery, all roads still led back to Naples. ()

Sangue Blu (2017) (S03E05)

inglés The episode had me thinking of those frustrating moments in video games where you lose all your gear and have to start over. But thankfully, this time around, it happened to someone else, so, as an impartial observer, I enjoyed it. ()

Come nascere (2017) (S03E06)

inglés The way the issue with the disgruntled employee was handled was a gritty moment that added an extra layer of intensity. But even without that, this episode still packs a punch. The creators masterfully weave in more intrigue, keeping me fully engaged throughout. And let's not forget the atmosphere — it's a real treat. ()

Sangue del mio sangue (2017) (S03E07)

inglés This episode was more of a setup for what's to come. Don't get me wrong — it was still solid, especially compared to many other series out there. But I'm confident the creators have more impressive tricks up their sleeves. ()

Guerra aperta (2017) (S03E08)

inglés The plot has taken a significant upturn, with the usual top-notch action sequences complemented by behind-the-scenes negotiations. It's a sure sign that we're in for a fresh wave of intrigues and betrayals, and I'm here for it. ()

Giuda! (2017) (S03E09)

inglés The episode delivered the Gomorrah experience I love - an intense and paranoid atmosphere, flawlessly executed action sequences, and intriguing plot twists that kept me engaged throughout. The pacing was just right, never letting up on the tension. Needless to say, my rating remains high for this one. ()

La creatura (2017) (S03E10)

inglés The tenth episode kept the momentum going strong, delivering another riveting spectacle just like its predecessor. With twists unfolding one after another, the lines between alliances blurred, keeping both the mobsters and us viewers on our toes, leaving me eager to see how the intense season finale will unfold. ()

Fede (2017) (S03E11)

inglés Just as I expected, this episode delivered in all the right ways. While the creators could have easily veered off course, they thankfully opted for a storyline that maintained its atmospheric charm, albeit with a slower pace leading to a powerful finale. ()

Per sempre (2017) (S03E12)

inglés Fantastic! The creators have managed to maintain the momentum of the season with another outstanding finale. This episode is brimming with a captivating atmosphere, a hefty dose of tension, and an unexpectedly high mortality rate among key characters. Once again, I had a blast. ()

Season 4 (2019) (S04)

inglés I've gotten used to a downward trend in quality in series with multiple seasons, and I actually expect it to be the case, but Gomorrah surprised me in this respect. The fourth season was excellent as usual. The premise was diametrically different from the first two seasons, but the writing is still excellent, the acting performances and direction have maintained a high level throughout and I’m already excited to see how things will develop.
