My only gripe was how the action in Rome seemed to slow things down a bit, and the constant hopping between Naples and Rome made the storyline feel a tad diluted. I've gotten used to a downward trend in quality in series with multiple seasons, and I actually expect it to be the case, but Gomorrah surprised me in this respect. The fourth season was excellent as usual. The premise was diametrically different from the first two seasons, but the writing is still excellent, the acting performances and direction have maintained a high level throughout and I’m already excited to see how things will develop.
