James Dean (Dane DeHaan) acaba de estrenar Al este del edén, y está a punto de prepararse para el papel de Rebelde sin causa, además, está esperando a que la actriz de Marcado por el odio, Pier Angeli, acepte su propuesta de matrimonio. Es en estos meses, cuando el fotógrafo Dennis Stock (Robert Pattinson) le persigue para poder fotografiarle. El argumento del filme, basado en hechos reales, gira en torno a la amistad que mantuvieron el fotógrafo Dennis Stock y el actor James Dean. Stock hizo a Dean una serie de fotografías para la revista Life que resultaron muy importantes y beneficiosas para las carreras de ambos. Entre esas fotos estaría la imagen icónica de James Dean paseando por la neoyorquina Times Square. (Vértigo Films Esp.)

I liked the photos in the end credits the best. Which everyone will probably acknowledge is very, very little. The whole movie dragged on incredibly and it's not even two hours long, yet to me it felt like it lasted at least double that. The whole thing was soulless; I couldn't get into any of the main characters, much less the performances of their actors. The whole wonderful tale of a rebel without a cause and a photographer making art didn't touch me, in fact it completely passed me by. There may be a story to tell, but this film absolutely failed to do it. A weak 2 stars.
