A Belgian couple in the middle of the Romanian mountains says their goodbyes in empty hotel interiors. The man helps the woman cope with her impending death and then wanders through the countryside like a wounded animal. The intensely physical acting of Dirk Hendrikx together with an uncompromising film style, which incorporates the space outside the camera's scope, creates a remarkable work of art. Light style, understandable, but rather emotional than rational, the feature film borders with new media. Pain and loss are deeply physical experiences after all, ones that are difficult to process through reason. (Febiofest)
