Nelly Seniff vive en la Alemania del Este junto a su joven hijo Alexej, pero a finales de 1970 emigran a la República Federal de Alemania. Tres años después, Wassilij, el novio de Nelly, muere en un accidente automovilístico y ella junto a su hijo pretenden comenzar una nueva vida en el Berlín Occidental. Sin embargo, todo se complica cuando aparecen las agencias de inteligencia aliadas para interrogar a Nelly y conseguir información de su novio que, al parecer, ha sido un espía. (Savor Ediciones)

Escaping from suffocating East Germany for freedom in the West - or not? A raw and realistic story about how difficult it was defecting to West Germany, starting with life in a refugee camp, which is hard work and highly stressful. A great movie presenting the period atmosphere so faithfully that it is chilling. Certainly worth watching.
