Českoslovenští dobrovolníci ve světové válce 1914 - 1918

This year marks 100 years since the beginning of World War I. For this occasion, digitised film material illustrating the lives of soldiers has been made available. Czechoslovak legionaries excelled on many battlefields. They demonstrated their courage in the Battle of Zborov in Russia and in the Battle of the Piave River in Italy. This compilation documentary from 1934 is dedicated to their heroism and daily lives. It portrays the conflict from its outbreak, including the Assassination at Sarajevo and other key events from the first major war in Europe in the 20th century. (Academia Film Olomouc)
