Jeden rok s Fulbrightem

Nine Czechs were filmed during their scholarships in the USA, and along with one American, who came to Prague for a year to join a Czech scientific team, they were chosen for the project One Year With Fulbright, in collaboration with the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic. Each episode tells the story of one Fulbright scholar – a scientist, a student, a teacher and a worker for a non-profit organisation. People of different ages and from very different disciplines were selected. The film crew visited their universities, scientific institutions, schools and non-profit organisations. Some of the students went to the USA on their own, some with partners and others took their whole families. For some it was a positive and motivating experience, while perhaps for others it was almost frustrating. The return to the Czech Republic was different for each scholar. Some came back full of energy, while for others it was a clash with harsh reality. How did the scholars perceive life in the USA and in what ways is it different than in the Czech Republic?
