Ivo and Maja live a quiet life in a dull suburb of Zagreb. One night their only son Tomica is violently attacked on the street by another teenager, beaten and left severely injured. "...attempts to find the truth and carry out the punishment play out a subtle psychology." Definitely. (Spoiler!) The son dies and it goes unanswered. There’s no emotion, or anything else for that matter. Hats off! That the filmmakers had it figured out for fifteen minutes at most is evidenced by the fact that the time-lapse shots are produced by having mom look at a head x-ray about twenty times and dad driving somewhere all the time. If it were longer, I'd eat my festival pass.
