Sinopsis(1)

The film follows the struggle of now-a-days "David and Goliath", Eugen David a farmer from Rosia Montana, which opposes to multinational corporations to save his home, land and village from destruction. In Rosia Montana – the oldest attested locality in Romania, a Romanian-Canadian company, Rosia Montana Gold Corporation, plans to open the largest open-cast gold mine in Europe. For their project to be realized, residents should be displaced, churches, cemeteries, antique galleries destroyed
The village community is divided in two – brothers and sisters, parents and children, lifteime friends have turned against each other.
The fight that lasts for over 10 years is slowly coming to an end. What will be the fate of Rosia Montana? What will happen to the villagers? What about the 300 tons of gold? Kocsis Tibor's film tries to give answers to these questions. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
