Episode 6 (S03E06)

Sidney has lost his faith in the church, so decides to resign so he can marry Amanda. His decision is a crushing blow to Mrs Maguire, while Leonard fears the arrival of a less tolerant vicar. Sidney soon finds the community needs him more than ever when a boy is abducted, while Geordie's behaviour grows more and more unstable as he wrestles with family problems. As the divided vicar grows closer to the truth about the missing child, he is forced to choose between love, faith, and loyalty to his troubled friend. (Independent Television)
