In February 2015, American Ross Ulbricht was sentenced to life in prison for operating the secret Silk Road web market, best known for the range of hard drugs it offered. This documentary, by actor and director Alex Winter, tries to view the case from a different perspective. It looks at the deep web and the Silk Road market as an attempt to create an open economic and intellectual environment, free of state supervision. It also draws attention to inconsistencies in Ulbricht's case and the questionable approach taken by the investigators. The film is narrated by actor Keanu Reeves. (One World)
