In her first film Eleonora Danco, who has previously only directed for the stage and done some screen acting, tackles the big questions. Are you and I capable of leading our lives, or not? During the slow season in a sleepy summer resort south of Rome, she poses a number of question to the people around her. The people in question are either very young or very old. She asks them about sex, childhood, memories, dreams and their views on homosexuality. Her questions are followed by a long array of unexpected scenes featuring astronauts, and teachers dressed in black marching along an abandoned railroad. Calling Danco's film a documentary would be a disservice to her personal visual talent. (Göteborg Film Festival)
