Bethany is basically the standard in its genre, essentially being a psychological horror film. By standard, I mean the plot. As far as the other elements go, it's below average. From the acting, which is just too uninteresting, to the atmosphere, which rather than being one of escalating madness, is simply one of strange bizarreness that seems to be slightly rooted outside of reality.
