Sinopsis(1)

Madagascar, the fourth largest island in the world, is a bizarre landscape of towering stone forests, dense tropical jungles, high-altitude scrublands, expansive papyrus swamps and coastal mangroves. Teeming with wildlife, animals occupy every niche of this unique and diverse island nation, including 103 species of weird and wonderful lemurs. We delve into the stories of the more idiosyncratic of these creatures from the alaotran gentle to the aye-aye, the world's largest nocturnal primate, which has macabre long fingers to probe for grubs, and the fat tailed dwarf lemur who double the size of their tails by storing fat in preparation for their dry season hibernation. The main predator of lemurs is a cat-like carnivore, the fossa, which prowls the forests and mangroves as a solitary hunter. Alongside the curious and eclectic collection of lemurs live an equally curious bunch of characters who add colour to the legendary landscape of Madagascar. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)
