Gary Cooper really carries this film. It would never have been the same without him. His gaze, his speech, and how he acts so simply and naturally are the highlights of a film about how one person's life can change, but the person might not. Or at least not that much. It’s a nice story about a person who didn't want to be great, but sort of became that way anyway. I guess I was expecting a slightly stronger experience, though. ()
