The documentary follows two small Italian villages in the idyllic Valle d'Asto territory, in the Italian Alps. The focus is on the everyday life of the school where the villages' children are taught about the area's unique culture along with its official languages and their dialects. Valle d'Asto is an interesting place for learning. The school focuses on giving the children a deep knowledge of the area and its culture, which is their way of keeping the identity of the sparsely populated area alive.
