Concert audiences do not often get a chance to see the of battle over artistic decisions that may take place in rehearsals. Fortunately, Ebène allows the film crew a rare chance to follow their winter tour in Austria and Italy. The documentary captures not only stage performances, but also the discussions and professional disagreements that lead to the refinement of their musical pieces – everything that contributes to the sophisticated sound of the Ebène quartet.
