Sinopsis(1)
Ágnesházy Katalin, wife of the ex-ambassador in Madrid meets Nyáray Tibor, ambassadorial adviser in the popular café "To the Four Horses" run by four youths, Sándor, Vali, Erzsi and Edit. The woman at the beginning gives the smart and travelled man the cold shoulder. But when she feels neglected by her husband she succumbs to the persuasion and visits him in his apartment. Here she learns that he loves someone else. On this day the diamond ring she got from her husband disappears. She is about to call the police when László turns up with the ring. Katalin, who is afraid that she left it at Tibor's and concludes that he must know everything, decides to tell him everything. László turns out to have taken the ring in order to sell it because of his financial problems. His wife's confession breaks him completely. He feels he cannot trust her any more and wants a divorce.
