inglés Long Zhi Gu: Jingling Wangzuo - Throne of Elves is the second installment in the Dragon Nest franchise and is a pretty decent fantasy adventure romance movie. It has its shortcomings, and things that I could not really relate to they usually have in Chinese (or even Russian) animated movies (especially the damn "dramatic" slow-motion). However, the narrative focuses on far fewer characters this time, making everything feel much more compact. The narrative is by no means surprising, and according to the genre, it works perfectly fine. The main female antagonist is quite good and also quite sexy, so she is very easy on the eye (and the same goes for the other elves). I liked the animation and the setting as well. The elf city had the appropriate grandeur and beauty, and the other locations looked interesting, as well. The main couple was likable, and I was rooting for them and their love story. It was also quite funny, especially the assertion that even if you are small in stature, you can still have a beautiful view; this amused me. Also, the soundtrack was good. In the end, this movie is not anything that was somehow extremely good, although it did at least seem perfectly respectable to me. 6.7/10. ()

inglés I wasn't expecting much from a Chinese-American animated film, so I was quite pleasantly surprised, both by the visuals, which I thought were very good, and by the story, which was quite nice, and there weren't many places that bored me. It's not a revelatory story, but it was good in this rendition. ()
