I don't want to say that Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf doesn't have a target audience, and it's possible that some people will enjoy it and find some scenes funny, but overall the film doesn't have much to offer. Even the actors joked around and didn't try very hard. Not all of them, but Casper Van Dien simply does plays the role expected of him - a pompous jerk who tries to be funny but fails.

Bad visual effects, script and actors, so basically a classic list of "qualities" of Syfy/Asylum films. So why did I watch this film? I wanted some through and through silly and unpretentious crap! I give it one star for certain moments that were quite a hilarious parody in themselves – the Whalewolf transformation scene, the cute little sister running for her life, or the mad chase in the mall. This film is ultimately very bad, but it knows it and still makes fun of it.
