Over 4000 years ago, the then uninhabited South Sea islands were populated by superb Stone Age sailors, an amazing feat of catamaran design and navigation without instruments. A modern Anglo-German team reconstructed their wooden boats to prove the predominant theory, supported by ethnographic evidence, that the Polynesians's ancestors, known as Lapita, didn't came from South America, easier in terms of currents and winds, but from China trough Insulind and Australasia.
