inglés Three surprisingly good short stories, where the first one is good from the beginning, then it's a bit annoying, the second one is funny thanks to Mr. Marvan and Mr. Nový, although surprisingly it doesn't end as positively as one would think, and well, the last one, the third one, is quite terrifying because of the grandfather and towards the end even horror-like, thanks to Kopecký's theatrical performance. I didn't expect it to be that interesting. ()

inglés If it was about foreign production, I would explain the absence of the film on our screens by problems with broadcasting rights. The absence of a Czech film of these qualities on TV broadcasting is a bit of a mystery to me. It is rarely replayed, even though it is a decent and not only from a contemporary perspective an above-average matter. The greatest contribution is, of course, quality literary source material by Čapek, but the strong cast and a script unburdened by ideological baggage of the 1950s obviously added a lot to the film as well. Three stories where irony and black humor play an important role. Overall impression: 75%. ()

inglés Three amazing stories, each unique in its own way, with a different mood and always with an excellent cast and a striking point. It's hard to say which one I liked the most, but if I had to choose, perhaps the third one about the resurrected grandfather, who, in a 100% suspenseful noir atmosphere, chases Miloš Kopecký, who resurrected him with a "great skid". inglés An absolutely fabulous Čapek triptych. The retro feel was preserved, and even the plethora of new faces doesn't contradict it. Most of all I admire the middle story with Oldřich Nový and Jaroslav Marvan, who portrayed their art to perfection and especially their experience from the past years. Pešek's first story is also tender and Mild's final story is a solid horror. The only negligible shadow is the repetition of some actors in several stories (Bohdalová, Kopecký...). ()
