"If you ever find yourself in a fight to the death, take my advice: Go for the throat," says Harry. It's a dog beat dog world out there after the latest financial crisis, and those who were bloodthirsty in their quest for making money are now looking for a new sport in the Irish film TRADERS. When the company Harry (Killian Scott) and Vernon (John Bradley from Game of Thrones) work for loses billions in the stock market and goes belly-up, the friends are just two out of a throng of unemployed former businessmen looking for ways to continue their standard of living. Vernon, ever the enterpriser, concocts an idea: two people meet anonymously, bring their life's savings, and fight to the death—winner takes all; these participants are known as Traders. Not since "Fight Club" has such an allegory for the anger in how the world's financial industry gets away with murder been played out with such blows. Deftly shot mixing brutality with humor, TRADERS is an engaging and confident punch to the throat. (Cleveland International Film Festival)

inglés At first, nothing special, it didn't catch me right away, but in the end it turned out that it is a movie with an idea, trying to convey something, and even though it lacks the means to be action-packed, it doesn't strive for that, its main goal is to look quite realistic. And it succeeded. Disturbing film about how it is possible to make money. ()
