A metacommentary movie about a movie, in which the director and the cameraman are filming a report about the extinction of butterflies and ecosystem collapse, while in the editing room they polemise about ways to communicate clearly and comment on their dramaturgical decisions, as well as express frustration with the difficulty of reaching a modern audience with more complex communication. An unconventionally conceived documentary, which through an experimental structure attempts on the one hand to convey an alarming message about the extinction of butterflies, while on the other hand the author comments on the filming process and the problems associated with it, giving the film a sometimes (un)intended humorous touch. The idea of using basically "waste material" to create a film is truly original. I saw it as part of the AFO festival, and after the screening there was a short discussion with the director, who explained to the audience a lot about the produciton, which I took positively, giving us that often contradictory "what the poet meant to say".
