Riding off the success of his latest documentary, a promising yet callous young filmmaker recruits his three friends into exploring an abandoned manufacturing plant that allegedly played witness to a number of occult rituals, apparitions, and unexplained deaths before shutting down in 1979. Skeptical of the paranormal, the team decides to perform the ritual in which the devil must grant whatever is asked of him but everything comes with a price. As midnight descends and with relationships on the verge of collapse, the crew struggles to survive as it becomes blatantly clear that they have awoken something truly sinister. (Gravitas Ventures)

The American movie 1st Summoning looks good even though it is otherwise a pretty empty found footage movie that does not have much ambition. It prefers to follow a well-worn path where there is a tendency to use the same old dynamics where towards the end, you cannot really see anything as the camera moves around. If you are into found footage movies, this is for you. If not, then avoid this.
