Secret Service (S03E06)

Just as Senator Guy Hammond (Roy Thinnes), a presidential candidate, offers agent Marty Dillard her dream job as his lead agent following the election, she learns that her confidante and friend, Ulysses Dodd (Ben Vereen), must receive an immediate kidney transplant in order to live and her kidney is the perfect match. Having the surgery would mean forfeiting the one job she always wanted, and, with Monica's help, Marty must make the choice between fulfilling her dream of protecting the president, and being hailed as a hero by millions, or anonymously helping a friend, in a most unselfish act.
