The setting of the Parisian Bohemian lifestyle is naturally an enticing subject for a biographical film about a famous painter who spent a significant part of his life drinking and indulging in affairs. However, I feel that the authors might have embellished his true story a bit, making the reality seem more mundane. Elsa Zylberstein is one of my favorite actresses, for whom I have a great fondness, and in Lautrec, she got a truly significant opportunity. Because of this, I give the film a 75% overall rating. ()
