(Filmin)

I like Rutger Hauer. I like movies that are not afraid of explicitness. And I like action movies. In this case, it's basically about gladiator fights that last until the end. But I still can't help it, I simply didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Maybe it's the pace, maybe it's the style that suited me, I don't know. It's good, but it didn't impress me. ()
Today I watched one of my earlier favorites after about twenty years and found a huge number of flaws with it. The film is a classic Australian B-movie from a world that has turned in the wrong direction. Jugger matches are a sort of cross between American football and gladiators. Although I prefer the more intelligent game of rugby and American football is a dumb sport for people who manage to graduate college only because they can run fast, I still found the film entertaining and it brought back a few nostalgic memories.
