Der Sommer nach dem Abitur

They missed it: the concert by their favorite band which would have made the summer after graduation truly magical. Each of the three friends - Alexander, Paul, and Ole - had something else going on back then. Now, twenty years later, the same band is back on tour and there will be no excuses. The trio sets off on an exciting road trip that puts their friendship to the test. Each of them has been hiding an awkward truth. Paul faces a prison sentence for being behind on his taxes. Alexander’s wife has left him. Only Ole, a successful author of all sorts of how-to books, seems to have been lucky, but it’s all a front. And so it is that the three friends travel with their emotional baggage and their notions of life, youth and friendship. They argue, make up, and argue again, but their common goal - the concert - keeps them together. (Filmfest München)
