En una ciudad del sur de los Estados Unidos un buscavidas sin oficio ni beneficio, ex-boxeador y ex muchas cosas, conoce en una bar a una prostituta con quien simpatiza y de la que muy pronto se enamora. More than anything else, this film is interesting because the main couple is a perfect match for each other. Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones are simply excellent and even though the story is rubbish in places, they manage to bring it to life and you watch scenes that you enjoy because of their acting. That's what I really liked about the film.
