James vs. His Future Self

Future James warns his current self to abandon his hopes for time-travel before his life erodes in catastrophe, and present James entertains his futuristic visitor for a while - until he begins to imagine that his secret crush and best friend Courtney seems to prefer his sexier, high-energy doppelganger. What follows is a comic Freudian battle of a man versus himself that allows Chernick to play both his trademark neurotic nerd persona and to explore a much more hipster version of himself. Think The Nutty Professor as a time-traveller. As with all of LaLonde and Chernick’s cinematic ventures, laugh-out-loud entertainment is guaranteed. (Whistler Film Festival)
