Memento Mori (S01E04)

The Victorians were obsessed with death and spiritualism. There was even a macabre custom where people would pay a “Death Photographer” to capture the image of their deceased relative. In this episode, Eliza finds herself hired by a Death Photographer who is receiving bizarre and threatening messages from beyond the grave. This theme of death causes Eliza to reflect on her own late father, Henry. At the end of this episode she makes a surprising discovery. She finds her father’s lost casebook, which causes her to look more closely at how he died. (A&E Television Networks)
