Volgend jaar in Holysloot

Van Moerkerken's last film, adapted from his first collection of stories, in which a blind man (Van Moerkerken) is walking to Holysloot. The journey takes him around the world, across various landscapes. Gradually, the man runs over a paralysed person: a wink to Buñuel's surrealist film L'Age d'Or, in which the protagonist kicks down a blind man. The film was shot between 1963 and 1983, both in the Netherlands and abroad, and was awarded a Golden Calf for Best Short Film in 1983. (Nederlands Film Festival)
