Pitbull. Niebezpieczne kobiety (2016)

inglés Patryk Vega cracked me up many times by incorporating a purely comic character of a lifetime convict into another one of his typically violent films, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget Marcin's quest for water. Sure, the film was slightly weaker than Vega's other films, but for me, it’s definitely worth four stars.

Pitbull (2005)

inglés Patient 0 of Vega's Pitbulls was really entertaining despite a few shortcomings. You could tell it was filmed almost twenty years ago, but it was still a wholesome action film that would put many an American action feature to shame, even though the sequence of some scenes didn’t seem quite right. But I'm just quibbling over details. Overall, I was satisfied and I'm giving it four stars.

Un traidor como los nuestros (2016)

inglés The writing was incredibly far-fetched, the plot was way too predictable in places, but I still had quite a good time. Ewan McGregor gave a great performance, he was totally convincing as Perry, and I always enjoy Stellan Skarsgard’s performance, especially when it’s as good as in this film. It's a shame that the acting performances were not supported by a better written story. This way, it's only slightly above average.

El castillo de cristal (2017)

inglés I only decided to watch the film because Sarah Snook was in it. At first, I felt like I was watching Captain Fantastic again, but it soon became clear that things would be even bleaker here. The story wasn’t exactly mind-blowing, but I was very satisfied with the performances. I'm not fond of films with child actors, but it was worth it this time.

El espía que me plantó (2018)

inglés I didn't think this film would be any good. I saw both Bad Moms and A Bad Moms Christmas, so I expected the worst from Mila Kunis. I didn’t really think much of Kate McKinnon either. In the end, the film didn’t turn out to be a total disaster. It had a few funny moments, even though the script was affected by the authors’ likely dementia. Once again, there was plenty of the "crowd-pleasing" vomit and diarrhea humor. Kate McKinnon was in her usual role of a half-crazy suicidal bitch, which she had crafted to perfection. I really have no idea how the creators came up with the name Nadedja. Was it supposed to be Nadezhda? Just a guess. Two stars are as high as I can go in this case.

La primera purga: La noche de las bestias (2018) ¡Boo!

inglés For a while, I was hoping that the creators were just kidding. Unfortunately, they were serious. The most suffering ethnic group after Jews got on NFFA's radar, and the film went south for me. Not only because I couldn’t care less about the relationship between black and white Americans, since my family never owned a plantation in Dixieland, but mainly because the screenplay was worth dog shit. Rambo was better with Stallone. The whole film sucked up to the black community so much that I had an urge to start rapping and hang a portrait of Martin Luther King on my wall.

Venom (2018)

inglés I had a surprisingly good time. The film worked great as a comedy, but the fact is that I expected something darker and more chilling. Even biting heads off was kind of cute and funny, despite the obvious potential. I would have given a higher rating had the atmosphere been slightly more sinister. By the way, kudos to Batman for doing an excellent job voicing Venom.

Ant-Man y la Avispa (2018)

inglés I had a great time with the first Ant-Man. It had an action-packed plot filled with exactly my kind of humor. This is why I was quite disappointed with the second installment. There was humor, but it was sort of uptight. The only characters who could really make me laugh were Luis and his two employees. The plot felt like a family adventure film, the only thing missing was a wife and two kids under twelve sitting next to me.

La víbora negra - Head (1986) (episodio)

inglés With the first series, Brian Blessed also left, who I definitely miss in the series, but at least partially, he is being replaced by Miranda Richardson, who visibly enjoys the role of Elizabeth. The second episode perfectly contradicts the famous saying: "What you can do today, do not postpone it till tomorrow." Sometimes it is still worth waiting.

Korunní princ (2015) (telepelícula)

inglés The story was easy to follow, the acting performances were quite decent, the dragon wasn’t one of the worst and, thankfully, there was no singing. I decided to give it four stars because it was simply hilarious. I absolutely didn't expect there to be so much quality humor. I was chuckling from the very beginning, but the tournament topped it all off (cheerleaders, bracket chart). I was satisfied.
