Boris (Aleksey Batalov) y Verónica (Tatyana Samoylova) son dos jóvenes moscovitas profundamente enamorados que se ven obligados a separarse cuando estalla la Segunda Guerra Mundial y Boris es llamado al frente como voluntario. Boris y Verónica no pueden despedirse pese a que la separación será mucho más larga de lo que ellos dos piensan. After World War II and especially after Stalin's death, the Russians have once again embarked on films that are truly worth it. This romantic story has an incredibly beautiful camera, but the story itself is beautiful as well. It has a bit of realism, yet there is still patriotism, although it cannot be said to be a strongly socialist film. That is why it is worth watching.
