Sulley y Mike son dos monstruos que trabajan en Monstruos S. A., la mayor compañía procesadora de sustos del mundo. La mayor fuente de energía de su mundo proviene de los gritos de los niños, asustados a través de monstruos que salen de sus armarios. The ending is especially beautiful. One look at one digital furry face, one word… And what it does to a man and his tear ducts. Thanks Pixar. ()
Another masterpiece by PIXAR, I had more fun with it than with the overrated Shrek. Great animation, an original and funny story and the voices of Buscemi a John Goodman on top of that. ()
Surprisingly childish for Pixar; it lacks the adult element that would elevate it from an excellent children's film to family entertainment. ()
A funny story, lots of ideas, a snowman with lemon ice cream, the incredibly cute Boo, the slimy Randall, a sweetly touching final scene, and one of the highlights from the works Pixar has managed to produce. The best fairy tales are always created where no one has yet dared to go – to a world of monsters that aren't so scary and where you're never sure where a door leads, or who is waiting behind it. ()
An enchanting animated movie with a great story and great animation. Monsters, Inc. is intended exclusively for kids, but that makes it all the more magical and funny, unlike Shrek which goes way over the top in places. The whole idea about the doors is absolute genius and the final chase “between worlds" has perfect momentum and is delightfully done. The nicest character of the entire monster world is without a doubt Mike “Cyclops" Wazowski who has become a type of symbol of a good time. ()
The 4th Pixar Feature Film This is essentially perfect Pixar cuteness. Never mind all the unacknowledged inspiration from the "old" Little Monsters from 1989. The monsters will get to anyone who still has a remnant of a heart left in their body. ()
Very childish, but also incredibly brilliant and original entertainment that it’s impossible not to love. The characters are all great, the pacing is thrilling and the excellent original premise is developed so precisely that there is no question of untapped potential (on the contrary, the filmmakers repeatedly surprised me with ideas that developed the story in rather unpredictable ways). Plus a truly fantastic Czech dubbing. 90% ()
