Turquía, 1922. Mientras el imperio otomano se derrumba, aventureros de todo el mundo, a cambio de una buena paga, arriesgan sus vidas para proteger a la población de ladrones y maleantes. Dos de estos mercenarios, Adam Dyer y Josh Corey, antiguos soldados americanos, son contratados por un gobernador turco para proteger un cargamento de oro y a sus tres hijas. As an adventure film, it's pretty good, mostly in the sense that it's fun and some locations are interesting and a little exotic. The cast is quite enjoyable, with neither Tony Curtis nor Charles Bronson ever disappointing. But overall, it's not something that would knock me off my feet. A decently average film.

A decent war drama with Charles Bronson and Michèle Mercier, and it also has great set design. However, given when it was made, the masks, make-up, and hairstyles are downright awkward. The result is necessarily corrected by very good acting performances, even though in 1922 they could only dream of having a lot of fashion fads. Mercier sovereignly proves that as an actress who speaks many world languages, she leaves the stereotypical image of Angélique far behind and audiences can only regret her unnecessary pigeonholing.
