A beautiful and unpretentious film with a slight touch of romance. I appreciate the magical atmosphere and the lightness of the story. No need to wonder if it's even possible for something like this to happen. It's fantasy and anything is possible. Anyway, it caressed me and made me smile a little, even when I wasn’t in a good mood. And that's the strength of movies. 4.5 stars. ()
What can I tell you, I quite like this film. Kate Beckinsale is so beautiful that she fulfils my idea of fatal love at first sight to the tee, and the handsome John Cusack does exactly what I would do under the circumstances. But at the same time, the story is so illogical and maddeningly naive that I can't fully succumb to merely charming aesthetic sensations and give it a higher rating, although I would really like to... ()
